COPPIN STATE UNIVERSITY SELECTS FISCHER INTERNATIONAL
FOR COMPLETE IDENTITY MANAGEMENT SOLUTION
Fischer’s Next-Generation Architecture, Built-in Compliance

Naples, FL (July 12, 2005) -- Fischer International,
thought leaders in Identity Management, today announced that
Coppin State University has selected Fischer Identity Suite
2.0 as its university-wide identity management solution which
includes provisioning, compliance, password management, user
self service, and mobile identity management. Displacing an
existing identity management solution, Fischer was selected
for its next generation architecture which incorporates compliance
at no additional cost, validated Oracle-PeopleSoft identity
management interface, and the company’s demonstrated commitment
to work with Coppin to ensure success.
Prior to the availability of Fischer Identity Suite, Coppin
State University sought and selected an identity management
solution to reduce the time and cost the University was spending
to support the identity and access needs of thousands of users.
While Coppin State faced many challenges with their original
identity management solution, their primary issue moving forward
stemmed from the solution's design: an integration of disparate
identity management components created by multiple vendors through
acquisition. In short, the Coppin State University IT staff
spent a significantly disproportionate amount of time on customization
and making the disparate components work together as required.
