FISCHER INTERNATIONAL iFLY ENABLES PROVISIONING REQUESTS
TO BE HANDLED FROM PDAS
First Mobile Solution in the Identity Management Industry
Eliminates Delays While Helping Organizations be in Compliance
Naples, FL (November 29, 2005) -- Fischer
International, thought leaders in Identity Management, today
announced that Fischer iFlyTM enables provisioning requests
to be received and processed directly from PDAs. Managers may
approve, deny, or escalate requests from any location, and add
notes and attachments – all within Fischer's fully-audited
solution. No longer do users need to access a browser, or require
the development of special web pages for the WAP client.
Mike Neuenschwander, VP & Research Director, Burton Group
views Fischer's iFly mobile provisioning feature as a boost
for both business agility and compliance. "Fischer's iFly
approval feature is a clear extension of what people want to
do. People can work unteathered and according to their own work
models, without being tied to PCs." Mr. Neuenschwander
continued, "Compliance is pulling direct managers into
the approval process, who are often away from their PCs. Managers
need to be able to work no matter where they are."
This Identity Management-first has several important benefits,
including:
- Keeps business moving by providing the fastest access.
- Helps organizations remain in compliance. There’s
no longer a need to go outside the system. Instead, management
knows who had access to what and when, as well as who approved
access.
- Records action taken, attachments, notes, and all other
approval events in a centralized audit database.
- Approvals and modifications can be scrutinized against the
organization’s business and privacy policies.
Fischer iFly is an exclusive solution that helps mobile workers
stay productive and business processes flowing, by enabling
secure access to messaging, calendars, contacts, directories,
password management, and administrative updates from a PDA platform.
The mobile approval feature is currently available for Pocket
PCs, and will extend to Blackberry and Palm devices in Spring
2006.
“We are the first vendor in the industry to apply next
generation solutions to solve today's complex identity-related
security and compliance challenges,” said Reneé
Bacherman, President and CEO of Fischer International. “Not
only does Fischer enable customers to deploy complete provisioning
solutions more efficiently and at a lower cost, but Fischer
Identity Suite facilitates our customers' ability to become
self-sufficient with the technology. This self-sufficiency is
invaluable in today's adaptive enterprise.”
